electri city was created in 1980 in bundt�s own studio. using a ppg synthesizer and a teac four-track tape recorder, he anticipated the home recording trend. he worked on the mixes with a revox tape machine, cutting and splicing by hand. whereas he had enlisted guest musicians on the predecessor neon, this time around he did everything himself, except for two tracks which featured keyboarder steve robison (reiner geyer) who had played with bundt in the krautrock band nine days� wonder.

desolat label boss loco dice is back with what is sure to be a massive autumn package: he has remixed the seminal dance track �go� by the legendary moby, twice, and has made it all his own in the process. moby needs little introduction: the american dance producer and live performer�s albums are classics of the genre that are celebrated far and wide. they have been used on thousands of adverts, have given rise to hit singles all over the world and have made him one of the most celebrated electronic music stars of our time. his �go� track was what started it all for him back in the 90�s, and was a bona fide club classic of the day. it still resonates today and always gets crowds going. now it has been remixed twice by loco dice, who has added his own stamp to it in distinctive fashion. his first excellent version is eight minutes of chunky and tribal drums, with rubber kicks, clipped horn stabs and big hits all building the pressure. those most famous vocal cries really finish it off in style, and ensure that dance floors will go wild whenever it is dropped, as do wonky synths and big piano chords at the breakdown. the second version is more emotive, with big sweeping strings smeared in the background to help make it all the more dramatic, teary eyed and impactful on the floor. this one is for the peak time in any set and is sure to make the most memorable moment of any night. both remixes here pack a real punch, and whilst remaining true to the original, they both sound just like you would expect from modern dance heavyweight loco dice.

popping up for the first time on figure spc y, it was the remarkable synth-work of ubx127 that instantly struck a chord with the labels demand for substantial techno. now the stockholm artist proves himself loyal and hits back twofold with a pair of eps that further highlight his mastery of both vivid modulation and effective sequencing. leading into this batch of new tunes are the crafty and beautifully fleshed-out synth-arpeggios of opener han, which ubx127 complements gracefully by adding tender touches of melody. a2 cut create and destroy displays a new side to the producer that verges on the manic, building upon a swirling theme that soon flies into a lunatic frenzy. soothing then are the spacious sounds of barabrus, a crisp piece of floating breakbeats and shoving sub-bass. living up to its name, swells starts as a bold synth-led groove and slowly grows into a romping beast that rebels against glistening sonic whiplashes. even in its own right constant permutation part 1 stands as a cohesive and compelling record that will add to any collection. but with its equally strong successor already waiting in the wings, it is ubx127 himself who will make a lasting impression.

the revised brotherhood recorded their one and only 45rpm single tragedy b/w those things in 1971. the band was founded by organist john hurd who was taught music many days a week by roger troutman. the band released a full length album shortly after the 45 but it did not take long and they split up. thanks to john hurd all of you get the chance to enjoy these songs on 45rpm single, more than 40 years after its initial release.

get on down is a heavyweight slice of storming jamaican disco-reggae heat from the legendary studios of miami s tk disco empire. king sporty s version may not have been as well known as connie cases electro laden later 1982 version (also produced by sporty) but the perfect marriage of disco stylings and sports jamaican roots meant the original 1979 version was a cult classic in underground deep disco circles. over 35 years since get on down was released the keepers of the tk disco vaults have given permission for some of their classics and lesser known gems to be respectfully tweaked by contemporary producers and dj s who fully understand the lineage of the label and the music contained within. stepping up and get his hands dirty is none other than london dwelling, wolf music man medlar. a regular face behind the turntables all over the world medlar has lovingly freaked king sportys anthem for the modern dance-floor, extending the right parts in just the oh so right way, dubbing out parts that needed just a smidgen of echo here and there and generally making the track irresistible to dj s with its lovely long beat led intro. these are extremely tasteful edits, done with respect and reverence over 2 parts old school style. look out for those low flying dubbed out vox and lazer beams too, powerful stuff! this is only one of many underground disco classics that the mighty miami based tk disco label brought to the world, reimagined for 2016s dance-floor, officially sanctioned in conjunction with henry stone music / tk disco. file under - classic / essential!

rome native marco piovesan is a dj�s producer. his driving style, pristine sound quality and nuanced tones makes his techno of the variety that draws bodies to the dance floor, and keeps them there. 2013 was his breakout year which saw releases land on gynoid audio, m_rec ltd.. that same year piovesan launched his own enterprise, h.omevvork recordings, as a haven for richly emotive techno music imbued in �90s spirit. to date it�s three ep�s have been remixed by luminaries such as giorgio gigli, daub and m_rec ltd�s sadly departed chief max_m. piovesan joined the key roster soon after as part of a split ep with another (then) up-and-comer, hector oaks. his two works, �black paranoid 7� and �black paranoid 10�, were clean, steely dj fodder underscored with a dark energy that made both of them potent club weapons. now piovesan returns with four cuts of surging, remorseless marching material design to tear up strobe-lit basements and big room halls alike. for djs who take no prisoners, who enjoy calling on the old techno ghosts too.

emerging from the romanian underground scene, talented young artist dragutesku finds fapte records with a prepared artwork for this release and by coincidence the name of his 2 tracks match the already made picture, so we�ve called it coincidente. on a side is the psychedelic logo of the label matching the track halucinant, having a minimal creepy sound but with a groovy pleasing vibe in the same time, making one hallucinate when listening to it & looking at the spinning center of the vinyl. as for b side, were we can find the track pastel, we must say we barely found this pastel-painting by leonid a. who gave us the right to use it, completing the art for this release maching the colorful minimal sound of the track by dragutesku later on. these are the true facts and actions (en.trans.= fapte) we experienced and hope to transmit further along with this 180g limited vinyl.

emotional especial and cocktail d amore music enter cahoot-mode once again with a second round of sfire remixes that take proceedings down a deeper, more stripped-back path courtesy of the inimitable timothy j fairplay and willie burns. two artists who need little introduction offer up two remixes each that take the unique original to new dance floor extremes. timothy steps up first with his take on -sfire 2- via differing vocal and instrumental versions. his trademark, echo laden rolling percussion and john carpenter-style key lines take the original synth-pop homage to the dark room. adding arps, a lifting, hedonistic breakdown and the scatter-stepper drums and claps found on the instrumental version and this is pure cotf territory and the better for it. mr willie burns meanwhile has long followed his own path for his take on -sfire 3-, offering one of his deepest remixes to date. thudding kick, brooding pads and dark strings force the vocals to go down, way down for examination. the distorted vocals of remix 1 are countered by remix 2 letting the track shine via a seemingly endless 4/4 beat. psychedelic, trance inducing, pulsating, this is an ever growing mind expanse.

�sway�, a beautiful and groovy instrumental jazz-rock record, is the debut album by sante palumbo, a pianist who grew up musically in the northern italy jazz scene. his �bandmates� - hugo heredia, sergio farina, marco ratti and lino liguori - make palumbo and his orchestra a real supergroup! never reissued on vinyl since its first release in 1973, its unique sound makes it a cult lp, deeply sought after by collectors all over the world. the vinyl release includes a cd-copy of the album.

ltd pressing , following the frankly huuuuuge norsk tripping release we get another xl rune portion, this time on his own drum island imprint... disko romeiko, as the title may suggest is a stomping, campfire lit and admittedly unlikely culture clash of greek and norwegian music. a vocoder laced, up-tempo workout of norse disco technique and traditional greek melodies that is a surefire dancefloor delight. remixes come from rune collaborator in chief, oyvind blikstad, who pitches the vocoder vox front and centre and strips back the groove while amping up the drama. finally baz reznik opts for a rumbling, acid laced house take... quite a package

fideles is the joint moniker of italian duo daniele aprile and mario roberti, who have carved out a niche for their distinctive brand of deep, techy house on noted labels such as defected, be as one, and marco resmann�s upon you, among others. here on their first outing for poker flat recordings, the duo cook up four courses of lean, focussed tech-house for steve bug�s seminal imprint. �detuned� starts the journey - an edgy, tense groove exhibiting the boy�s masterful sound design and use of space to create a thick, intoxicated atmosphere. �i�m rude� is more direct - a thumping bass drum introduces a low slung bass groove, slowly evolving and mutating into a true party-starter. �worthy� uses similar building blocks but delivers a different vibe altogether, revelling in a minimalist production aesthetic and cheeky bass riff. �ran baran�, the title track, is another lesson in great production - each element perfectly balanced to create an atmosphere of controlled mayhem - which is exactly the response this entire ep aims to instigate on dancefloors.

federico leocata is an italian audio-visual artist who has exhibited in athens, thessaloniki and catania. later expanding his art into the field of sound based analysis of the human psyche. first discovered by heinrich mueller (dopplereffekt, drexciya), federico released his first ep in 2010 for the belgian imprint wemè records, attracting further interest from labels like frustrated funk and last known trajectory.

damien lynch enjoys countryside a drive in the twilight hour. this is his second offering for the esp institute. on side a, brunette opens with a straight-ahead techno thump of hi-hats and a pulsating 16th-note bassline�a subtle playing field composed solely with a rare 1970�s italian machine, the godwin drummaker 32, unearthed from the secret back room of a music shop in rural ireland where it hid among wonderful vintage russian synths and oddball electronics. this elegant track drips with warm and phasing pads, gentle staccato keys and beautifully simple arpeggios that blur every now and then�all affirming damien�s less-is-more ideology. with side b�s forced relax, damien continues to exercise his restraint, arranging his instruments in a band-like fashion, affording each player the sonic space to project their individual qualities whilst supporting an overall dialogue. there is a soft ebb and flow to every machine�s role, whether the swelling of bass or the interplay of percussive keys, but when these characters arrive in one place, the result is a tranquil euphoria. these two songs will accept you for who you truly are.

melodie is cristi tudorache from bucharest, an artist who has made quite a name for himself through the 2 highly acclaimed releases on raresh s metereze and french label rora in 2015. this is his latest ep, alderaan, named after an extinct planet in star wars. alma01 includes the much sought-after acid saturday, the track that has had threads dedicated to it all over the web after rpr soundsystem played it at weather festival in 2015. the ep debuts the almanah label, a new romanian label under the curatorship of the origami sound / interval crew.

nice price deal !!! eclier (siberia) proudly represents the new cold wave from the east: electro break, robotic vocals and spacey pop synths: all together this siberian chemistry is a hot hymn to the dancefloor. after the release in july of >the hole< ep (ref. mako004), supported by mr oizo, das glow, mixhell, zombie nation, autodidakt, etc., eclier is coming back in october for his new « the future is now » ep. with new bombs for the dancefloor, on the productive label boxon records. if ecliers first album took you on an amazing trip, this new project with more rhythm will take you directly to exploding parties. girls, the word is dancing. after a few remixes for some artists of the label boxon records and an ep on proxys label, we were right to expect a true hurricane. no options left, its gonna come. with intros very much turned to an atmosphere close to b.o. s.f. and a new wave touch, nikita, who comes from the great siberian cold, adds an electro touch to choruses that just make the ice melt. a perfect example to be found on >rockfall<, heritage of digitalism. the saturated melodies are bloody efficient and the beats powerful. away from a lament or a lullaby, eclier earned his stripes, and took vitamins. we definitely find this craving energy on >spider< that ends this three-track record. eclier has everything of big man now: tom deluxxs enthusiasm and the combined new wave touch of the cut copy. he gets closer to proxys ingenuousness. >the future is now< (text by céline fula, october 2010 � traduced by cécile guidon)
